Caminos de Agua is excited to share with you a special, more personal, talk I recently gave at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of San Miguel de Allende (UUFSMA), an incredible community of individuals who have been supporting Caminos de Agua from the beginning. Their dedication to social justice and the environment aligns so closely with our mission, and their support has played a key role in expanding access to safe and sustainable drinking water solutions throughout the region. I need to preface this by saying that this was a very different kind of talk than the ones I normally give. I was asked to speak more personally about the work, which was a challenge at first, but it was also an opportunity to put aside the technical and delve into some of the more “invisible,” human aspects of this work. I so often find myself talking about the ongoing need to “scale-up” and impact more and more people, and this was a chance to talk about the importance of also “scaling deep,” alongside the grassroots and community partners who make this work possible and lasting. So, if you’ve got 25 minutes to spare, I’d love for you to watch and hopefully learn about this slightly different perspective of our work and mission.
