Due to the postal strike, the Government of Canada has extended the deadline for 2024 tax-deductible charitable donations to February 28, 2025.  It’s up to each donor to decide in which year to claim donations made between January 1 and Febuary 28.

There are several easy ways you can donate to an AMISTAD CANADA Project. Direct payments by cheque or Interac e-transfer are best because we receive 100% of your donation.

Donate by Interac e-Transfer

By way of your online banking web page, you can send your donation by email. No processing fee will be deducted from your donation. Your bank may, however, charge a service fee. If you wish to donate via Interac e-Transfer, please do the following:
 

1. Go to your Online Banking site and click on the link for an Interac e-Transfer.
2. Fill in the required information, including the amount of your donation and, in the space provided for a personal message, indicate which Amistad Canada project you wish to support. Where you are asked to provide the Recipient’s email address, enter amistadcanadadonations@gmail.com
3. You will be asked to create a Security Question; such as “What was the password I provided you?” Send the answer to your Security Question to us in a separate email with the address: amistadcanadadonations@gmail.com. This will allow us to transfer your donation to Amistad Canada’s bank account.

Make your cheque out to Amistad Canada and send it to:
